Fitness levels are highly variable even with people of similar age, fitness, and health. To find out your Fitness Age use the online calculator designed by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. Without getting on a treadmill, you can get your fitness assessment by feeding the calculator personal data including age, how often you exercise, your waist circumference, and resting heart rate.(Take your heart rate after resting quietly for at least 10 minutes. Measure the number of beats in 30 seconds and double it.) The calculator compares you to thousands of people the University researchers studied on and off of treadmills and with this comparison you’ll get your Fitness Age. The scientists there say these factors can be the greatest predictor of your current and future health.
